Equipment

If you’re joining us full-time and are not working as a designer, editor, or in any post-production role, we typically provide an Apple MacBook laptop. For those in designer, editor, or post-production roles, we usually set up a desktop workstation tailored to your specific needs. Freelancers, however, are required to use their own devices for work.

Guidelines

  1. Before you join, you get to choose the machine and OS that works for you. We usually default towards Apple and MacOS across all teams. If you’d prefer a Windows laptop instead, please make a request to the Office Manager or your Team Lead, and they will arrange it for you.
  2. While the majority of our electronic hardware is protected under care plans, we expect you to treat all of it with care. Costs for all repairs and damage that isn't covered by insurance (if you drop or lose your device, misplaced or busted/worn peripherals) can be high, and depending on the circumstances, will have to be borne by the individual.
  3. If there's a device or additional devices which are important for your work, do have a conversation with your manager on how to get access to them.

Laptop Refresh

Laptops can be refreshed if they’re outdated and is actively impeding your productivity. If you feel you need a new laptop to be effective at your job, reach out to your manager, and you'll be set up with a new machine.

Wear and tear

Do treat company property like it is your own. If there is significant wear and tear that needs service/ repair, a conversation would follow about bearing the cost of these repairs. This will be handled on a case-by-case basis, keeping in mind elements like tenure of the laptop being in your care, quality of the hardware at the time of receiving it, etc.

Exit protocol

The day after your exit, you will be required to hand over the laptop directly to the Office Manager or your Team Lead, rather than shipping it. Before doing so, please ensure that all your files are backed up on the Endorphin Dropbox account and shared with your reporting manager.
