Apart from official state and national holidays, you are entitled to 30 days of paid leave annually in accordance with Azerbaijani laws — for short trips, long vacations, or 'don't feel like working' days. To encourage everyone to take sufficient time off, leave days do not roll over to the next year. Above all, we want you to think about what your body and mind need rather than focusing on your leave quota.
In Azerbaijan, there are approximately 17-18 national holidays each year. These dates will be communicated by the HR and Management team at the beginning of each year.
Unlimited. We know how awful it feels to be sick, and worrying about the number of sick days should be the last thing on your mind. Do not feel guilty for being sick. Your team leaders are trained to adopt a trust-based approach. Treating leave this way sends a signal of trust throughout the organization. The same benefits apply to adoptive and commissioning mothers. Fathers are entitled to 14 days of paid paternity leave.
We understand that no amount of time is ever enough when you have a newborn, whether you are a mother or a father. Regardless of local laws, we believe that we should not differentiate between parents and strive to provide both parents with the leave they need. Therefore, after the basic eligible period as per our policies, we will do our best to find flexible solutions that suit all parties.
We encourage you to notify your team as far in advance as possible before taking new parent leave, though there is no requirement for how far in advance the notification should be given. Sometimes tasks and projects may require extra time, occasionally extending into weekends or holidays. It is important to first acknowledge that this is not, and should not be, the norm. However, if you find yourself needing to work extra, it is essential that all stakeholders are informed, and then the extra hours are compensated in accordance with our official policy. Therefore, we encourage everyone to use their compensatory leave in line with our official policy. Here's how it works:
