If you’re reading this as you’re about to join Endorphin, firstly, welcome & congratulations! You’re in.

Your primary point of contact at Endorphin until now would have been a member of our department & department leader. But we want you to know that every single one of us here are committed to making your first few weeks go as smooth as possible.

Know that it’s perfectly normal to take time to understand a new work environment. You’re learning how to tackle a new job, meeting new co-workers, you’ve got a lot of new details thrown at you all of a sudden. We understand new workplace jitters because we were once there too.

We’re keen that your onboarding experience is as enjoyable as it is meaningful. Though our offices in Baku and Tashkent are open, we are a hybrid/remote-active organisation at the moment. So, chances are you will be meeting a lot of your new colleagues and team mates online. Our aim is to make your on-boarding process as good an experience as an in-person one would have been.

The week before joining

You should have received emails from your team leader with details of your new email ID, information on how to access your Endorphin mail and a request to provide certain information.

You should also expect a request to introduce yourself to everyone through a short intro-video or if schedule permits, an invite to join our weekly all-hands meeting. Use this as an informal opportunity for your new colleagues to get to know you and you them. Until now, you’ve met us in our capacity as an interviewer. Now we’d like to get to know you as friends and colleagues.

You will also be introduced to your new ‘buddy’ during this time, who will be your go-to person for all things Endorphin during the initial weeks. Buddies take their jobs very seriously so we urge you to make the best use of all their ‘experience’. Alongside your ‘buddy’, typically a few from the team would have already made attempts to reach out to you before your Day 1 to say hey. Look out for emails or texts.

Day 1

It’s your first day! We’re keen to not overwhelm you with information, names and processes today except with a little bit of paperwork that simply cannot be pushed for later.

Your team lead may already have scheduled intro/hello calls with you and the wider teams for later in the day. That's it. Please end the day whenever you like. There is no compulsion to stay connected through the day.

Week 1

The first week of working at Endorphin should be focused on learning – learning how we work, learning how to work with everyone, about our clients & partners, the tools we use, the way we jam etc. New Endorphinator may or may not be actively contributing to work all week, but the expectation is primarily that you ask questions and get set up. So take your time during this week, meet as many new colleagues as you can and get to know our clients and work better.

We know that It’s important to set reasonable expectations and be very supportive for as long as it takes for a new colleague to feel comfortable (this might be a week for some and a month for others). Please feel free to connect with your buddy anytime you feel you need to find something out. Your buddy is your lifeline to not feeling adrift at Endorphin in the early days. In due time, we will invite you to be a buddy to a new person, and you can pay it forward.

Timeline to Becoming Permanent

Endorphin follows a three-month compatibility period for all talent. It allows both us and you to determine if we are a good fit for each other. Benefits and full permanent employee status takes effect once you’ve successfully completed this compatibility period. Sometimes, this compatibility period may be extended to allow both sides a bit more time to adapt.

During your compatibility period

Group Heads & Executive team will conduct a formal check-in once a month during your compatibility period. You could use this time to cover topics such as:
